How I grow unknown YouTube channels into the fastest growing creators in their niche
Recently, more and more people have asked me; how do you grow a channel into becoming the fastest growing in their niche?
I’ve grown channels like WeAreNoCode from a small blip into the king of AI coding in a matter of a year, the Golden Kobe Family from an up and coming creator to the fastest growing dog rescue channel in the world, or a more ‘‘business centric’’ one being Forever Estates UAE. From the literal inception to now doing over $150,000 a month in revenue from deals coming straight from the YouTube channel.
Besides that, I’ve worked (and work) with some of the biggest Youtubers in the world and help them grow faster, create stronger teams, and much more.
And although all of them are in wildly different niches, I use the same playbook for all.
Here’s the rundown:
Know the landscape
Many creators look at their direct competitors, find out what worked for them, and copy them.
I don’t.
When I enter a niche, I like to know the direct competitors, adjacent niches and their fastest growing channels, and find patterns but more importantly; gaps.
Many niches on YouTube tend to stay kind of cocooned in their own little world. But growth is found mostly outside of that cocoon. Find new formats by exploring the wider platform, and you’ll stumble upon winners faster than anyone not using the same framework.
The IDEAL Framework
This framework is something I’ve developed over years of working on channels myself and now with other creators as well. It works as followed:
Idea - spend considerable amounts of time on ideation. Aim for at least 30 quality ideas for every single video.
Data - Pick your top 5 ideas, and reference data on similar topics. Did they produce outliers? Use them as guidelines. If they didn’t, drop the idea.
Execution - Cross reference how the outliers were made. Study their hooks, structure and payoffs. Can you improve anything? Do it. Do you feel outmatched by the quality of them, put the idea in the fridge for now.
Analysis - Work on the pre-production of your video. Analyse potential drop-offs, parts that could be cut without destroying the core message, and work on your thumbnail concepts based on outliers you have gathered over time.
Longevity - Finally, before recording, ask yourself this: will this video bring me one step closer to my long term goal? If not, reconsider the topic or reframe it so it does help you get closer.
In the absolute basis, this is how I am able to grow creators into the next generation of stars in their niche and beyond.
On paper, it’s simple. But that doesn’t mean it is easy.
Therefore, I’ve created something to help you.
This week, I’ve launched my 0 to 1000 subscriber booster course, with 6+ hours of content in it.
It’s the closest thing to working directly with me for a fraction of the price.
